The event takes place in Belgrave Park, at the Nevill Hall Hospital end of town (not at the hospital itself). It has been running each year since 1968. The event is run and organized by the local social networking club ''Abergavenny and District Round Table'',〔(Abergavenny and District Round Table )〕 which is one of the hundreds of branches in the UK of the Round Table. It is a non profit event with all proceeds being distributed to charities and good causes, primarily in and around the Abergavenny area.
